The rationale to develop a nursery on the site of Maiden Beech Academy arose due to the identification by the BTC Trust and the Local Authority of limited childcare in the town especially for children under the age of 2. This opportunity, to provide nursery facilities for the local community directly alongside the school, meant giving families convenient access to all year round early years education.
